Australian Capital Territory Men's
State Team
John Cannon
Representing ACT for the 1st time this year. John is a new comer to ACT but not to darts. He throws a steady dart and is a very serious competitor. John's ability adds further depth to the ACT team.
Anthony "Fleety" Fleet
The "First Fleet at Purfleet" needs no introduction. After a short hiatus out West for work, he is back and hungry for success. This being his 20th time representing the ACT at the Championships, he has
represented Australia and is one of Australia's premier players. Fleety has been throwing excellent darts, with more than his share of local tournament wins, and he is looking forward to this year's championship.
Andrew "Bull" Little (right)
This will be Bull's 9th visit to the Australian Championships. A solid and consistent performer, Bull has a reputation for hitting the big pegs under pressure, and being a fierce competitor. As President of the ACTDC, he's looking to lead by example.
Eddy Luckwell
Eddy's re-emergence into the ACT team for 2009 has added more strength and depth to the team. Eddy has maintained his fine form over the year and is ready to re-enter Australia's toughest tournament. Game On!
Jason Mudge
A rookie in 2007, and ladies captain in 2008, Jason is no stranger to the Australian Championships. In his 3rd championships, Jason returns as a player in 2009.
Mick Mullaney - Player and Captain (left)
Mick is attending his 18th Australian Championship. He has worked hard to get to this point and is now looking to add the icing to the cake. Mick's experience at the Championships sees him with another feather in his bow and he comes away as a player/captain this year. The ACT will benefit from his experience and great darts.
Brad "Turtle" Spurway
Brad has been playing great darts throughout the year, while collecting tournament wins on his way. Brad is looking to make his 14th Australian Championships his best performance to date.
Steven "Buddha" Wood - Player and Delegate
Buddha's rapid rise into the ACT state team last year from darting obscurity took all by storm, especially Buddha. Buddha went to Geelong with high hopes but, minimal confidence, knowing he would be playing against some of Australia's top darts players. Buddha is determined to improve on last years performance and is excited to once again be a part of Australia's biggest darting event, at his 2nd Championships.
