Canberra's Anthony Fleet (right) returned to the Australian Classic this year to win the open title again for the second time, previously winning in 2003. He was in pretty hot form throughout the event averaging over 28 per dart. He defeated young New South Welshman Mitchell Clegg in the final.

Australian international Carol Forwood (right) won the WDF Ranked Ladies Singles at the Central Coast Australian Classic in Gosford over the weekend. Forwood who lives in Melbourne defeated Pam Burr from Brisbane in the final. This is the fifth time Forwood has won this title; the previous times were in 2003 - 2006.
