Australian Sunshine State Classic
Brisbane hosted their second tournament as part of the Grand Prix calendar. We had a reasonable number of participants with, 27 Ladies and 46 Men nominating for the three events that were conducted over the two days.
It was again very encouraging to have players travel from WA, Tasmania, NSW, ACT to play and support our event. It is a great opportunity for our local members to be able to witness some of the top rated Australian players in action and it helps to promote our sport.
The weekend saw some brilliant games being contested in a very tight competition, but as always, there can only be one winner.
We offer our deep appreciation to all the players as their sportsmanship and conduct over the weekend was fantastic and a credit to each and every one that attended..
A huge thank you to - our sponsors, the venue, games officials and all other volunteers who created a well run tournament.
And finally, we congratulate all the winners and competitors for a great weekend and we hope to see you back again next year to a hopefully bigger and better tournament.
