2010 DFA Selectors

The DFA President, Kelvin James, today announced the appointment of the 2010 National Selection Panel

From a strong field of outstanding candidates the successful applicants for the 2010 National Selectors are:
Tony David, Betty Hislop and Lindsay Wells.

The Selection Panel has a wealth of knowledge and experience and we were delighted with the number of high quality applicants for the position of National Selector.

This year the Selection Panel will select the team to wear our coat of arms with pride as we setout to defend the Asia/Pacific Cup following the outstanding results of the team in New Zealand in 2008. The Asia/Pacific Cup is hosted this year in Tokyo, Japan and we wish all players well in their endeavours to represent Australia in this event.

Rod Bessell who was appointed Chairman of Selectors at the DFA Meeting in February 2010 will chair the Selection Panel.

The President thanked all applicants and advised that the interest received was overwhelming which made the job of selecting the final three very difficult.
