Western Australia Boy's win undefeated

The Western Australian Boy's clinched the Boy's Teams Event, winning the event for only the second time in history completing the competition undefeated.

Western Australia inflicted a 6-1 thrashing on the Queensland Boy's yesterday, reminding everyone that the Western Australia Team was around the mark in 2003 and were gaining some pride back.

Queensland was defending champions. The WA Team (Captain Betty Hislop pictured left) of Kyle Anderson, Mitchell Gardiner, Jack Simpson (pictured right), Damon Heta and Trenton Phillips was far too strong and consistent for all the other teams.
This team highlighted the strength of junior darts in Western Australia with four of the five players contesting this years Australian Darts Championships have two or three more chances at representing there state in future years.

The challenge for the other states has been set as three of these players are only fourteen or fifteen years of age and have several more years of junior darts ahead of them.
The Queensland Team (Captain Greg Rideout - pictured left) of Josh Kime,
Travis Lawton, Matt Mullen and
Chris Woods (pictured right) placed
second with only the one loss to Western Australia.

Apart from Western Australia, the Queensland boys were rarely challenged on the scoreboard.

Placing third was South Australia.

They won their last four rounds of competition, after suffering defeats to
Western Australia and Queensland in their first two rounds of competition.

Captained by Scott Mackinlay, players competing for South Australia have been Aaron Kocjancic, Bradley Coulson, Shannon Patterson and Matthew Brown.
