Australian Boy's hitting the 'pegouts'
|
| The Western Australian Junior Boy's State Darts
Team are going to take some beating in the Australian Junior Boy's
Teams Championship at the Inala Darts Club in Brisbane. Queensland
are the defending Champions having won this event for the last six
years, but lost badly against Western Australia 6-1 putting their
chances of winning back to back titles in jeopardy. |
A few shock results on day
one in the Boy's Teams competition at the 22nd Puma Australian Junior
Darts Championships.
Four rounds of competition were completed today with Western Australia
the only undefeated team at this stage after victories over Victoria,
South Australia, Tasmania and Queensland.
No one really troubled the strong Western Australia team today,
but look to have some formidable opposition tomorrow.
Their finishing has been a highlight of their game, with consistent
pegouts with one or two darts.
With Queensland having a bye today, they have only completed three
rounds, and now are relying on either New South Wales or Northern
Territory to defeat WA.
Western Australia has their bye first up tomorrow.
New South Wales is still in with a chance with only one loss so
far to South Australia, but have Queensland and Western Australia
to play on the second day of the Teams Event.

The Queensland Girl's continued
their great Championship form in winning all of their matches today.
The Queensland team defeated Tasmania, South Australia, and Western
Australia.
New South Wales also won all of the matches with victories over
Northern Territory, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
They have Western Australia and Queensland to play tomorrow.
Win these two matches and the title will be theirs.
Queensland Girl's are the defending Champions and are looking very
strong at this stage to take the title again.
Western Australia has won this title many times in the past and
is still in the hunt but will be relying on New South Wales defeating
Queensland for them to win this year. |
Competition continues tomorrow at the Inala Darts Club in Brisbane
starting at 11.00am. with the final three rounds of the teams event.
