The Australian Junior Darts Championships are to be played at Gloucester Park for the very first time in Perth. In 2008, the Western Australian Darts Council hosts the 27th Championship and will be played in January from the 6th - 12th.

Congratulation to all of the Players and Officials on your selection in your State/Territory team to compete in these championships. Some of you will have been here before and for some it will be their first time. To the player's competing in their first Championship, good luck and good darting for this Championship and future Championships if they eventuate for you. To those having their last Championships because of age, we all thank you for your past efforts representing your State and hope you all go on from juniors and become the future elite players of our sport.

Several players are back to defend titles they won last year at Mounties Club in Sydney. Emily Austin won the Australian Junior Girl's Singles titles and Gavin Dann won the Australian Junior Boys Singles titles at the last Championships. Both will be seeking to retain their titles in 2008. Brie Peters and Mitchell Clegg are back after representing Australia at the World Cup in the Netherlands, while several other players will be chasing titles after making finals in 2007
