Title holders in big trouble
It may be hot and humid outside and inside at the Inala Darts Club here in Brisbane but the darts competition inside was just simply hot. Day one of the Australian Junior Darts Teams Event sees the defending title holders on top and in control. In the Girl's competition title holders Western Australia have won their first three matches to be the only undefeated left in the competition. The same story in the Boy's competition as the Western Australian Team won their first three rounds to virtually put them in the box seat for the title race.
At this stage, after four rounds it appears that the titles may be going West as both their Boy's and Girl's Teams have not lost a game. (Look at the results tables to see how the competition looks)

In the Girl's, South Australia and Queensland are still in with a chance having lost one round but South Australia needs to defeat both Queensland and Western Australia tomorrow to change the outlook on this event. SA and Queensland could be fighting for second place in the last round of competition tomorrow. Western Australia is pretty hot favourites to win the title they won back last year in Adelaide.
In the Boy's after five rounds again Western Australia are in the dominate position. Both Victoria and Tasmania are in the hunt with just one lose. The final round match may be the decider when WA plays Victoria. Tasmania will have a say in how this all pans out as they play WA the round before. New South Wales also have lost one match and that was to WA. Tomorrow they play Tasmania and Victoria. The event is still open with four Teams still in the hunt.
Competition continues tomorrow at the Inala Darts Club in Brisbane starting at 10.00am with the final rounds of the team's event.
