Quarterfinals format best of 5 x 501:
1st quarterfinal: Kyle Anderson v Neil Hembrow.
Kyle played great darts to storm away with the first 2 legs. Neil was also playing well but could not get his rhythm going. 3rd leg and it looked all over with Kyle toeing the oche and requiring 13 for a straight legs win however a missed opportunity let Neil in for the win and he never looked back tacking the final 2 legs with some great darts to win the match 3 - 2.
Averages Neil 87.18 - 26.44pd; Kyle 83.07 - 26.73pd.
2nd quarterfinal: Kim Lewis v Peter Sutton.
Kim went ballistic in this match Peter never had a chance the match was finished before you could blink. Kim has smashed the board with 15 - 17 and 15 darts to win the match 3 - 0.
Averages Kim 100.20 - 31.98pd; Peter 61.33 - 20.44pd.
3rd quarterfinal: Beau Anderson v Barry Gardner.
Barry Gardner is a young player from Swan Districts who has really come on in the last 12 months and is now starting to challenge the top ranked players, my opinion he has a ton of talent and will make it. Brilliant game both players were burning the boards Barry got away to a flyer and claimed the first 2 legs on his 5th and 6th walk. Beau who had also been playing brilliant darts struck back in the 3rd on his 5th walk, Barry had the chance to close the match in the 4th on his 6th walk requiring 68 but leaving 20, Beau hit his 32 out to tie the match at 2 each. The final leg went with the throw after 6 walks each Beau needed 48 and Barry 40, Beau had the walk and whacked the 48 to win the match 3 - 2. Great game of darts.
Averages Beau 95.00 - 29.68pd; Barry 90.20 - 28.54pd.
4th quarterfinal: Adam Rowe v Damon Heta.
Damon has been up bush working and this is his first tournament of the year while Adam has been playing very solid darts at all events. Damon claims the 1st leg after Adam busted out, Adam hits back to claim the 2nd & 3rd legs with some good solid darts. Damon then digs deep to come back and claim the 4th & 5th legs and the match 3 - 2.
Averages Damon 82.16 - 26.82pd; Adam 85.03 - 26.45pd.
Semi-Finals format best of 7 x 501.
1st semi-final: Neil Hembrow v Kim Lewis.
Neil claims the 1st leg on his 7th walk after Kim missed a 32 out. Kim then fires up to claim the next 3 legs each on his 6th walk. Kim has a chance of sealing the match on his 5th walk in the 5th leg but leaves 8 and Neil makes no mistakes in putting the 20 away to have the match at 3 - 2 Kim's way. Kim moves through the gears in the 6th to win the leg on his 5th walk and claim the match 4 - 2.
Averages Kim 99.67 - 29.90pd; Neil 84.00 - 26.85.
2nd semi-final: Beau Anderson v Damon Heta.
Damon starts in a blaze claiming the 1st leg on his 6th walk with a 100 out. Both players then set about playing some great darts with Beau taking the advantage and claiming the next 3 legs on his 7th, 6th and 7th walks. Damon then moves up a couple of gears to claim the 5th & 6th legs with 20 and 14 darts. Match tied at 3 apiece. A great last leg has Damon with 12 left after his 6th walk, Beau toes the oche on his 6th walk and puts 100 to sleep to claim the leg and the match 4 - 3. Fantastic game of darts by both players.
Averages Beau 82.81 - 25.58; Damon 86.35 - 27.16pd.
Final format best of 9 x 501: Kim Lewis v Beau Anderson.
Kim (left) and Beau have had outstanding matches today so this should be a ripper. Well ripper it was but all Kim's' way he just set the board on fire a 15 darts 1st leg with a 109 out set the standard. Beau claimed the 2nd leg after Kim had busted out needing 15. After that even though Beau played quite well it was a one way street with Kim reeling of 4 legs in a row with 19, 16, 18 and 14 dart legs to claim the match and the title 5 - 1.
Averages Kim 99.36 - 29.51pd; Beau 74.75 - 24.40pd.
