Trina Gulliver and Clare Bywaters are to clash
in the final of the Women's
Singles. Teammates yesterday, but will be out for
their own glory on Finals Day. Both ladies had
a relatively easy run into the final. Gulliver
accounted for Japan's Yukari Nishikawa 4 - 1
in the quarterfinals, and Heike Ernst of Germany
in the semi finals 4 -2. Coming through the
other side of the draw Bywaters defeated Canada's
Robin Curry 4 - 1 in the quarterfinals and
Mayumi Ouchi 4 ' 0 in the semi finals.
Ernst
defeated Tarja Salminen of Finland 4 - 3
in the quarterfinals, while Ouchi won over USA's
Marilyn Popp 4 -3
